
Sarah Nevill is a recent graduate of Culinary Arts & Beaver Area School District. Winning 1st place at the FCCLA PA State Competition earned Sarah a spot to compete in Atlanta, GA this past June. Sarah won gold for her hard work and presentation on Wellness & Nutrition! She was the recipient of a $16,000 recurring scholarship at Sullivan University to major in Culinary Arts. She’ll be starting her classes this September. Congrats, Sarah!
The Family, Career and Community Leaders of America Club is open to students enrolled in the Food Preparation & Service program. This organization places emphasis on promoting personal growth and leadership development through family and consumer science education, focusing on the multiple roles of family members, wage earners, and community leaders. There are FCCLA chapters in all 50 states, plus Puerto Rico. Pennsylvania boasts over 700 members, with chapters in every county. The Beaver County CTC chapter members are active participants in leadership training events, competitions, and state and national conferences.
