Culinary Arts students Debbie Barnes from Western Beaver and Devin Allision from Blackhawk, participated in ProStart’s Boot Camp at IUP’s Culinary Academy.
This ‘Boot Camp’ was to help all attending ProStart students prepare for the organization’s invitational during the month of March at the Penn Stater.
Ms. Barnes stated, “ProStart gives me a start in real life because we work with chefs in the industry and to their expectations.”
Mr. Allison added, “Going to the IUP Culinary Arts Boot Camp gave me the experience to look at the campus and talk to the chefs about school and what is available at IUP. They were very helpful and I feel I could really fit in with all the chefs and other students.”
Mrs. Stevenson, Culinary Arts instructor, is really proud of her student’s accomplishments! Both she and her students are really looking forward to the invitational! Good Luck!
