2019 Greenhouse/Landscaping Plant Sale

We are looking forward to this year’s Plant Sale! 

Our Greenhouse will be open to the public on:

  • Thursday, May 9th – 9:00 to 10:45 AM and again from 11:45 AM to 5 PM

For the first time, other BCCTC programs will be participating in the Plant Sale. Limited items outlined below from the other programs will only be available this day from – 9:00 to 10:30 AM and from 11:45 to 2:30 PM, pending items are still available

  • Friday, May 10th – 9:00 to 10:45 AM and again from 11:45 AM to 3 PM

Only the Greenhouse will be open to the public for sales.

Please Note: First-Come, First-Served

PLEASE NOTE:

  1. Payment needs to be in the form of either cash or check.
  2. Any available items for purchase on Thursday, created from other programs will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
  3. Sales from any items, including the plants, support our Program’s budgets to help offset costs for the following year.
  4. All items are ONLY available during the time of the Plant Sale and in most cases are NOT typically projects replicated throughout the year for purchase at any time.

PARTICIPATING PROGRAMS DURING PLANT SALE ON Thursday, May 9th ONLY:

Carpentry – Limited student-made outdoor furniture (some were a collaborative project with HVAC-R), garden or yard enhancements, and small wooden flags (painted by Commercial Art & Design students). Prices range from $20 to $100.

Cosmetology – Two students will be available to explain and offer how to do a FREE hand massage.

Culinary Arts – Will be selling coffee, water, student baked cinnamon rolls, scones (apple cinnamon & chocolate chip), sugar and chocolate chip cookies. Prices range from $1 to $2.

Greenhouse/Landscaping – Please see below for plants and pricing.

Health Occupations – Will offer a FREE blood pressure reading for those interested. They are also collecting gently worn shoes, especially flats, for those less fortunate should you have any and would like to donate.

Logistics & Materials Management – Will be on-hand to assist loading plants or other items for those who make purchases.

Veterinary Assistant – Student, hand-made bracelets will be available for a donation, either monetary or a pet related item to aid the Beaver County Humane Society.  Three Veterinary students from Riverside who won 1st Place at States for their presentation on ‘Rabies Awareness’ will be available to answer questions about the dangers of rabies to both humans and animals. BCHS staff will also be on-hand in the afternoon to talk about animal adoption and may bring a pet who is looking for their forever home.

Welding – Limited student-made ‘shepherd hooks’ for hanging baskets will be available. Prices are $20 each.
